Hi all,
If i run a report for equipment location, it says FATAL error in the temp file.But it works fine for reports taken for piping components.
It says that FATAL error some file is read only which is no way connected to the model i have selected.

Hi Arun, such errror may come if one of the equip. model is either corrupt or is read only or locked.
Although this corrupt model is not the one u r making reports on, PDS uses the First model encountered to read the Type 63 data stored in it( i.e. the Coordinates information etc.)
Eg. ABC1, ABC2, XYZ1, XYZ2 are ur models and u r making reports on XYZ2 model, PDS uses the first model by sorting alpha-numeric wise and from that PDS picks up the coordinates and other information stored in the DGN file and then follows thru reading futher models until ur MODEL is encountered.
so verify if the specific model giving FATAL error is corrupt or not..
same rule applies when u extract report for piping models or extract Isometrics..

Hi kevin,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried the report for different equipment models but the error was the same.The file reported in the error is always a same piping model file and is no way connected to the equipment model file.
I have attached the report error log. Could you give me more info after examining it.

I think model file corrupt. try to open the model it will show the same error massage.....
